Below are some common reasons ReceiptPal users encounter problems connecting their Gmail and/or Amazon account to ReceiptPal and how to fix them.
-
Using the wrong password - Make sure you are using the right password for your Gmail/Amazon account. You can check your password by using that password to sign into your Gmail/Amazon account as you normally do outside of the ReceiptPal app. If you are not able to sign in to your Gmail/Amazon account, you are using the wrong password.
-
Blank spaces mistakenly included - Make sure you don’t have any extra spaces before or after the email address and password information you enter when prompted in the ReceiptPal app.
-
Language preference setting – If you have the language set to something other than English for your Gmail/Amazon account, you will not be able to connect to the ReceiptPal app. ReceiptPal currently only allows for connection to accounts where the language preference is set to English.
-
Using an Account or Security Key – Gmail accounts using an account key or security key cannot be connected to ReceiptPal.
-
Two-step verification errors – contact the ReceiptPal Support Team for further assistance.
