If you use an AOL email address, you may have to verify ReceiptPal as a connection. More specifically, you will need to modify your AOL Account settings to generate an app specific password to use when connecting your email address with ReceiptPal in the ReceiptPal app. Please follow these steps:
On a desktop or laptop computer:
1. Login to your AOL account.
2. Once signed in, click on your name at the top of the screen.
3. Click "Account Security".
4. Click "Generate app password" or “Manage app passwords”.
5. Click on the "Select your app" drop down menu and select “Other App”. Type ReceiptPal where it states “Enter custom name” and click Generate.
6. The app specific password to use with ReceiptPal when connecting your email for auto e-receipt collection will appear in the box. Please note: After clicking Done you will see ReceiptPal listed under "Manage App Passwords". If you lose your app specific password, you can go into Manage app passwords to generate a new app password (just delete the existing app specific password).
7. Go back to the ReceiptPal app and tap on Account tab then navigate to the Manage Accounts page. Tap on the toggle next to your AOL email address. On the next screen input your AOL email address and then paste this app specific password into the password box.
The rest of the process to connect your email box with ReceiptPal should then successfully complete.
