If you use a Yahoo! email address, you may have to verify ReceiptPal as a connection. More specifically, you will need to modify your Yahoo! Account settings to generate an app specific password to use when connecting your email address with ReceiptPal in the ReceiptPal app. Please follow these steps:
On a desktop or laptop computer:
- Login to your Yahoo account and highlight your account in the top right of your screen.
- You will see your email address and under it "Account Info". Click on "Account Info".
- Click on "Account Security".
- Click on "Generate App Password".
- Click on the "Select your app" drop down menu and select other apps. Name this ReceiptPal and click generate.
- Please copy the password they give you.
- Go back to the ReceiptPal app and tap on Account tab then navigate to the Manage Accounts page. Tap on the toggle next to your Yahoo! email address. On the next screen input your Yahoo! email address and then paste this app specific password into the password box.
The rest of the process to connect your email box with ReceiptPal should then successfully complete.
On the Yahoo! Mobile app:
- Tap on the horizontal bars on the top left to open the left navigational bar.
- Tap on "Manage Accounts".
- Tap on "Account Info" under your email username.
- Tap on "Security Settings".
- Scroll down and tap on "Manage App Passwords".
- Tap on the "Select your app" drop down menu and select other apps. Name this ReceiptPal and tap generate.
- Please copy the password they give you.
- Go back to the ReceiptPal app and tap on Account tab then navigate to the Manage Accounts page. Tap on the toggle next to your Yahoo! email address. On the next screen input your Yahoo! email address and then paste this app specific password into the password box.
The rest of the process to connect your email box with ReceiptPal should then successfully complete.
